Charlotte + Ian, August 2023, The Tithe Barn, Bolton Abbey, North Yorkshire
Charlotte & Ian were a dream couple! Their colour brief was vibrant oranges and pinks teamed with corals, caramel and peach with darker shades to create depth – this is where the fabulous chocolate cosmos came in.
Charlotte wanted her bouquet to be unconventional and eclectic in style which was so exciting to create! I used all of the above colours but blended the shades together so it was harmonious whilst still being bold and beautiful. Silk ribbons were used to tie it with. The bridesmaids were a smaller and less punchy in colour version of Charlotte’s and complemented the colourful dresses they wore.
The couple sourced wine bottles for the trestle tables and I filled them with flowers that matched the rest of the scheme. They also chose fresh rose petal confetti.
Two key installations were created for maximum impact, the first was a large hoop that sat above the aisle during the ceremony and later between the two rows of trestles for the reception. The main statement piece was a fabulous grounded arch filled with seasonal foliage, dahlias, roses, delphinium, carnations, cosmos, limonium and amazing neon pink gladioli.
“Our flowers were INCREDIBLE. Absolutely everything we envisioned yet so much more. The arch was so beautiful, as was the hoop. We kept discovering new little pockets of colour in amongst the greenery. And the button holes were perfect! My husband would wear my Miss Piggy every day if he could. You took our brief and absolutely rocked it. Thank you!" Charlotte & Ian
